Fantastic Romances Set During the American Revolution
The American Revolution is a wonderful romance setting with its action, rich history, and juicy stories. These are some wonderful ones that I have read over the years, and I would love to find more. Please let me know in the comments about favorites of yours that I need to add to the list, or you can email me here. I can’t wait to read your additions!

Be Not Afraid, is a passionate novella of the American Revolution that only Alyssa Cole could have written. She is a master of steamy historical romance with life and death stakes!

This is a second chance romance novella, set during the Revolutionary War, and packed with adventure and action. It was originally published as part of a three-novella anthology (Hamilton’s Battalion), and I am happy that it is also available on its own. I love that whole anthology, but Promised Land is my favorite of the bunch.

The Turncoat is a spectacular historical romance spy novel, set during the American Revolution. Prepare for some sleepless nights because you will be unable to put this book down!

The Rebel Pirate is a high-adventure historical romance that will sweep you away to the opening days of the American Revolution, and melt your heart while it does it!

Mistress Firebrand is a riveting historical romantic suspense novel, set during the American Revolution. I enjoyed it so much I read it twice!

The Dutch Girl is another edge-of-your-seat historical romance, full of Revolutionary-era spies and danger. As always with Donna Thorland, prepare to be up reading well past your bedtime, because you will not be able to put this down!

Sweet Vengeance is a historical romance full of high-seas adventure and set during the Revolution, so it is a perfect beach read for this summer!

America’s Daughter is the first in a three-book family saga that takes place just as colonial protests were coalescing into a rebellion. It is historical fiction with strong romantic elements (by which I mean it does not technically follow romance genre conventions, despite having a strong romantic through-line). I thoroughly enjoyed this immersive love story set at the beginning of the American Revolution. A lovely way to dive into the 250th birthday of the United States this year!

The Devil Take Tomorrow is a rollicking historical romance, set during the American Revolution. The romance is delightful, and the plot is pure romantic suspense. Juicy!
What romances am I missing? There must be more, and I would love your help finding them!
