Heart-Pounding Romances Set During the French and Indian War
The French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Years’ War, is such a rich era of history. But there aren’t enough romances set during the period! Here are some favorites, and please let me know of others you like in the comments below. I am always looking for more!

Surrender is the first book in Pamela Clare’s MacKinnon’s Rangers series. This novel is both a rollicking adventure set during the French and Indian War in North America and a steamy Scottish Highlander romance all in one!

Untamed is a thrilling and steamy historical romance that has my heart still pounding. Pamela Clare is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors as I read my way through her work. The books in this trilogy can be read as stand-alones, so don’t think you need to read the others before this, unless you want to experience the MacKinnon brothers’ story unfolding in chronological order, in which case, start with Surrender.

Defiant is the heart-pounding, keep-you-up-reading-all-night conclusion to Pamela Clare’s brilliant MacKinnon’s Rangers trilogy. They can each be read as standalone books, so you can dive on in!

Bellewether is a dual-timeline, slow-burn romance with one timeline in the present day and the other in 1759, during the French and Indian War, and they are woven together so beautifully that both will tear at your heart. This book is a masterpiece, and Susanna Kearsley is an absolute master!

Passion’s Duty is a PenCraft Best Book Winner and a finalist for the Holt Medallion in Historical Romance. He is a poor Irishman on the rise. She is a British officer’s daughter. The world is against them, but war creates opportunities for those brave enough to seize them. If you love gritty historical adventure, a bold heroine, and a hero willing to risk everything to keep her, then don’t miss this steamy French and Indian War romance!

Passion’s Return is a six-chapter romance set a year after the massacre at Fort William Henry, and it is a Readers’ Favorite Five Star Read. She thought he was dead. He thought she had forsaken him. But furious raiders are closing in, and if they can’t find a way to forgive each other, no amount of rekindled passion can save them.
What romances am I missing? There must be more, and I would love your help finding them!
